Traffic Planning & TM Solutions

Our Lantra M7 qualified Technical Officers can plan any type of work on ALL single carriageways and on dual carriageways up to 40mph.  This includes but is not limited to:

- Stop / Go

- Temporary Traffic lights

- Road Closures

- Temporary Speed limits

- Lane Closures

- Temporary Pedestrian Traffic light Crossings

We can put together a range of documents from full comprehensive traffic management plans for events, including temporary pedestrian crossings, site access plans & Event directional signage to basic two-way light plans. We also apply to the local authority for any required permits (TTRO's).  All our plans comply with applicable UK law.

We use a variety of documents in conjunction with each other to ensure our designs and solutions fall within the law. some of these can be found below

Traffic Sign Manual (TSM)  Parts:

The Red Book (Safety at Streetworks) should be used by all TM operatives, it sets out the bare minimum of the law in England, failure to meet the standards in this book is failure to comply with the law. The Pink Book gives advice on the use of portable vehicular signals (traffic lights)

TSRGD (Traffic Sign Regulations and General Directions 2016 acts as the sign bible and gives information on sign design. Drawings can be found on gov.uk

Event TM Package

Event & Emergency Service access routes

Often overlooked at events is dedicated access for emergency services. This can be vital in speeding up emergency response when on-site teams are unable to cope with an incident, it reduces the need for staff to direct vehicles, and is generally one less thing for event managers to worry about.

Countless times I have been on poorly signed sites when traders, suppliers, and punters alike struggle to find the site or the right gate to access it, I have also seen delays in Ambulance service paramedics responding to incidents due to difficulty finding site access.

Event and Production signage can help to reduce confusion, in turn, lowering the burden on the local traffic network which surrounding many festival sites in Cornwall is not designed for such heavy traffic use.

We have an in-house sign designer who can create fully compliant road signs for your event, some examples of which can be seen below.
